    ABSTRACT

Reflex epilepsies are a group of syndromes in which an epileptic seizure is precipitated by external stimuli or internal mental activity. The external stimuli may be simple (various visual, vestibular, auditory, or tactile stimuli, such as flashes of light) or complex (activities such as reading or listening to music). Hot water epilepsy is a rare form of reflex epilepsy.
