New Horizons in Epilepsy Treatment

Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological disorders and many mechanisms have been suggested for its pathogenesis. Although it is pharmacologically regarded as an incurable disease, significant progreş has been made in its pharmacotherapy over the past decade. In this article, the current antiepileptic therapies are evaluated and concepts in the development of new antiepileptic drugs are reviewed in the light of the relevant literature.
